The east side of the bridge has the Arctic Cathedral and the Fjellheisen cable car. Quiet and close to nature — good if you want to combine the city with quick hikes.
Tromsø is one of the world's best aurora locations (Sep–Mar). Dogs can join most outdoor experiences, but not official aurora bus tours. Rent a car instead and drive 30 minutes outside the city — Kvaløya and Ersfjordbotn are classic spots.
