Centre & Munksjön

The centre with Hovrättstorget and the Match Factory district is compact and car-free. Munksjökajen is a waterside walk with 5 minutes to the Vättern shore.

Rosenlund & Vättersnäs

On the Vättern shore with long walking paths, dog beach and large lawns. Best base for active dogs.

Huskvarna

The eastern neighbour town — cheaper accommodation, direct access to the Huskvarna hills and trails up to Vista kulle.

On the Vättern shore and Bondberget

The lakeside walk along Vättern is 4 km long and perfect for dog walks — start at Munksjön and head south to Rosenlund. Bondberget nature reserve and Taberg mine are longer trips with hiking trails and lake views. Hökensås nature reserve (40 min) is one of Sweden's finest dog hiking areas.
